There are, of course, many great angles to photograph the Grand Staircase at San Francisco City Hall. After 300+ weddings and 7 years of shooting weddings here, we have probably tried them all. The angle displayed in the above photograph is one of our favorites on busy days like Fridays. This is because by shooting at this angle you cut off some of the people that are often milling about. You don't have to worry about people at the top of the stairs in the Rotunda area, nor do you have to include tourists how are hanging around at the bottom. Basically its just a matter of waiting until the bottom half of the staircase clears and then you get your shots quickly! Please see below for another angle that is popular.
